What an inspiring day in Malappuram! We recently witnessed a massive Beneficiaries Meet cum Exhibition organized by JSS Malappuram, a true testament to the power of skill development and community empowerment. The event was grandly inaugurated by none other than the Honorable Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Jayant Singh Chaudhary, drawing an incredible attendance of around 3,000 beneficiaries.

During the event, Minister Chaudhary lauded JSS Malappuram's exceptional model of self-sustainability. It's truly remarkable how JSS Malappuram mobilizes four times the amount of the Ministry's grant to promote skill development! This innovative approach serves as a shining example, and the Minister even expressed his intent to replicate this "Malappuram model" in other districts – a huge recognition of their ground-breaking work.
The function was presided over by Shri P.V. Abdul Wahab MP, the esteemed Chairman of JSS Malappuram, whose leadership continues to guide these impactful initiatives. Mr. Ummer Koya's efforts are pivotal to the ongoing growth of the JSS Malappuram community.

A major highlight of the day was the "Disha Exhibition", JSS Malappuram's annual showcase of talent. With 15 vibrant stalls, visitors could explore a diverse range of skills, from apparel and beauty to food, tribal crafts, handicrafts, and even demonstrations by PM Vishwakarma carpenters, goldsmiths, and potters. This exhibition wasn't just about display; it was a commercial success too, generating a total of ₹3 lakhs in revenue for the beneficiaries.

The event also celebrated past achievements and future aspirations with several key distributions and recognitions:
1,800 beneficiaries from the previous year received their certificates, a proud moment marking their newly acquired skills.
An additional 300 PM Vishwakarma certificates were distributed, further boosting the skilled workforce.
300 entrepreneurs were recognized with well-deserved medals, honoring their dedication and success.
Financial empowerment was a focus, with loan distributions totaling ₹32 lakhs to 9 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) through Canara Bank.
Excellence was celebrated with awards for Best Resource Person, Best Staff, and Best Beneficiary.
Finally, 231 beneficiaries received their Artisan Cards in fields like carpentry, pottery, and hand embroidery, opening doors to new opportunities.
This event truly underscored JSS Malappuram's commitment to fostering a skilled and empowered community, setting a benchmark for others to follow.
